Hi my name is Kate, the Advanced class’ manager. I am a sophomore at the Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA) for visual arts. I like drawing while watching YouTube in my spare time. I also like interacting with young children and other similarly-passioned peers, making my job at ALM very enjoyable.

Hi, I am Sophia Zuo, the Chief Operation Officer at ALM. I am also a junior at Visual Art Conservatory in Orange County School of the Arts(OCSA). I enjoy making 3D arts, and jewelry design. I enjoy making connections between art and philosophy and look at art through different perspectives. My name is Jeanie. I’m a sophomore from St. Margaret’s Episcopal School. I was a teacher at ALM for a little under a year, and I’ve taught all three classes, from Advanced, to Intermediate, to Beginner. I’ve been a Christian all my life, and I love spending time with my friends and family. It’s been a good experience to serve with ALM, and I know that the time I spent with the program has certainly helped refine me, the other teachers, and the students into more patient and creative people.

Hi, my name is Zhijie Liang, also known as Michael. I’m the video photographer and editor of the ALM Media Group. Currently a sophomore at the Peninsula Palos Verdes High School. I enjoy making videos and documenting every beautiful moment. I’m also into behavioral and social psychology, with other hobbies such as tennis, listening to music, and watching documentaries. My time at ALM organization was around a year and half. But, in this short period of times, I learned things that could not be replaceable with educational books and videos. As a video photographer of this team, I did not have nearly as many interactions with kids as the teachers. However, I feel their enjoyment while filming and editing the clips. The honor is mine, to be apart of this beautiful community, helping and supporting kids to chase their dreams.

Hi, my name is Michelle Zhang. I am the manager of the beginning class for visual art. I am a senior now in university high school who is interested in art but want to major in business. Most of my time I will spend on crafting, sketching, and sometimes learning Japanese. The time I spend in ALM is wonderful and joyful. Not only the children bring me such a great time, but also other teachers and leaders of the group were respectful and responsible for all their work. It is my pleasure to join such a great organization and be one of them to help the community.
